Im trying to print to a pdf plans for a model I designed. It needs to be actual size.
When I print directly, the plans are the right size. When I print to the pdf first and then print that it is slightly smaller. I have checked the printer preferences for scaling, and they are set at actual size. Is this a bug?
When you print a PDF from Acrobat Reader, make sure you set Page Scaling to None (instead of the default Fit to Printable Area). Depending on the target printer, the actual printable area may be slightly smaller than the physical paper size, hence the "scaling down" as you observed.
However, with Page Scaling set to None, you will likely lose your 8.5x11 border (because it is outside the printable area supported by that particular printer).
