Newer PDF Standards than 1.5?

Why is PDF standard 1.5 the newest one? Where is 1.6 and 1.7?

When it comes to choose from the PDF standard which should be used to make the PDF, the newest standard is 1.5. Why isnt v1.6 and v1.7 available?

1.5 is always good when creating PDF files with PDF24. Newer options wouldn't generate a better PDF file.

It is not necessary to add the other PDF version because the PDF24 Creator does not use the features of that versions to create PDF file.
